Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 22-story French Renaissance landmark rises 289 feet above downtown Baltimore. The largest hotel in Maryland, it has long been a haven for weary travelers, and for restless spirits. The hotel is infamous for ghostly encounters. Guests and staff alike report seeing a young girl in a cream dress and black shoes, bouncing her red ball on the 19th floor and in the ballroom. At times, she appears crying, screaming, or rocking back and forth, a chilling reminder of a rumored suicide.

Elevators are said to stop on the 19th floor without cause, and visitors describe unseen hands brushing against them in the lobby and corridors. Sensitive guests have woken from nightmares, convinced a presence lingered in their rooms. Each tour explores different parts of the hotel, so no two nights are ever the same. Locations vary by availability, but the mysteries never disappoint.
